What drew you to Givex, and what do you enjoy most about working here?

After taking a break to be a stay-at-home mom for my youngest, I decided the time was right to return to the working world and found a position on offer as a Client Services Representative at Givex. After doing my research and being offered the chance to interview with the heads of the CS Team, I was happy to go in and learn more about this company at the forefront of Gift Card Technologies and meet some of the people who make that happen. I was impressed by the technological capabilities of the company as well as the strong sense of family and community that Givex had to offer. I was more than excited to accept the opportunity to become a part of the team.

What I’ve enjoyed the most since joining Givex almost five years ago is that they are a company that recognizes the importance of personal and professional growth. I’ve seen this myself, having transitioned from CS representative to CS Team Lead and finally into my position as an Implementation Specialist. I get to work with an amazing group of people who offer constant support and encouragement, making this experience an enjoyable and engaging time in my career.

What has been your most rewarding experience during your time here?

Every interaction I’ve had at Givex has been rewarding in its way! As a CS Rep, I worked one-on-one with users/customers to resolve their inquiries successfully. As an Implementation Specialist, I work with various clients, helping them understand our tools/concepts, providing guidance on a problem, or having a meaningful conversation about how we can support them in achieving their goals. Each interaction has allowed me to refine my abilities and contribute to the growth and development of the company. I am incredibly proud to feel like a valued team member, and I am constantly motivated to make my voice heard and be an active part of the Givex Community.

In what ways has working at Givex as an Implementation Specialist challenged you?

Working as a Givex Implementation Specialist for the last few years has required me to use a combination of technical expertise, strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and adaptability to overcome challenges and ensure successful implementations. It has been and continues to be an amazing opportunity to work with various clients with unique challenges/requirements, which push me to work even harder and excel in delivering our services.

What does your day-to-day schedule look like working here?

A day in the life at Givex as an IS Rep for Core Services involves a very fast-paced schedule that includes regular client meetings, boarding of new clients and ongoing support of established gift card programs. I also strive to be a resource within my team, sharing and gaining knowledge. It’s a team effort!

How have your past experiences prepared you for your current role at Givex?

My experience supporting small and large-scale Information Technology clients has prepared me to take on the challenges of the implementation’s specialist role at Givex. Knowing the right questions to ask, being patient but conscientious of client’s needs and providing support and direction where necessary are some of the essential skills I’ve developed over the years. I’m always ready to assist, which is a valuable skill in keeping the client’s business that we support performing at its best.

What’s your favorite part about coming to work every day? What keeps you motivated?

I enjoy working closely with many interesting and diverse clients who constantly challenge me to keep growing and expanding my knowledge/expertise as a project manager. The great team of people that make up the Implementation department, along with other support teams like our Developers, CS and Sales teams, all create a strong community of camaraderie that makes it easy to show up every day and get the job done! Thank you, Givex 😉
